Diane Kistler, E-RYT500, Yoga Therapist
Diane Kistler, E-RYT500*, Yoga Therapist**, MBA has over 11 years experience teaching and guiding students in their own transformation using the tools of yoga. With her vast therapeutic background working with such conditions as cancer, Fibromyalgia, post-stroke, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, and senior and prenatal populations, Diane is able to apply the yogic principles and tools to many medical conditions.
Why is Diane motivated to be a Yoga Therapist? The inspiration comes from both her own experience of using yoga to support her healing from breast cancer and from her clients and students. Their willingness to show up on the mat, breathe through discomfort in the body and in the mind and still continue to practice is an ongoing reminder how powerful the effects of yoga are. Diane will strive to make their journey an authentic one; filled with support and motivation as they navigate in their practice and in life. Diane honors their decision to explore the many layers of their being and try their best with intention. Diane’s approach is holistic, compassionate, and gentle - with a focus on the individual’s needs and goals.
* The yoga therapy components of her teaching are based on IAYT accreditation, and not derived from her status as an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance Registry.
** Diane is currently working on her 1000 hour IAYT Yoga Therapist certification with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, an accredited IAYT school. The International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), a leader in the field of yoga therapy for over 25 years, creates certification for yoga therapists and over 25 certified schools for yoga therapy.
